 Is Registration needed for foreign studies?

 For foreign employment or writing equivalent examinations generally they are asking TSPC Registration. Other countries also demands Good Standing Certificate from the Council to consider for employment/permitting for examination.

 What does Employment proof mean?

 This is applicable to those who are employed in College/ Hospital/ medical shop etc. Identity card or drug license copy is a proof of employment.

I am registered under TSPC and presently working outside the state. What to do?

 Registration is issued to a pharmacist who is practicing in a particular state. Please refer the instructions in council website or contact State Pharmacy Council for registration procedure either working in Tripura or if working outside the state please follow the instructions of the concerned state.

 I have studied outside Tripura but want to register under TSPC, What to do?

 Yes, you can approach the office of TSPC for your registration.

 If Registration certificate is lost somehow, how to get Duplicate Certificate?

 You can get the Duplicate registration certificate in the same day of application, if all the relevant documents are properly submitted to council office. The details of documents that are necessary may be found in the council website of from the office of the council.

I am a Registered Pharmacist and hold the registration certificate and if

(i) I am studying now or

(ii) I am a lecturer or

(iii) I am working in other profession or

(iv) I am doing business or

(v) I am staying ABROAD

can I use my Registration Certificate for medical shop while doing any of the above?

No, you cannot use your registration certificate, because once your name is entered in the Drug licenses as working Pharmacist, it is illegal and impossible to be at TWO places at ONE TIME. It amounts to Professional disrespect and unethical. Your name may be removed for ever from Register and you can be no more a Registered Pharmacist. Criminal case may also be attempted on you. You may even be disqualified at the other side when they are intimated by the Council on removal from Register.

Is Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC) acceptable?

Yes.

Whether Industrial/hospital training certificate is compulsory?

Yes, it is compulsory.

I have lost Individual mark sheets but have Consolidated mark sheet, will it work?

Council asks for mark sheets of all semesters/years for issuing registration certificate. However, if Board/University provides consolidated mark sheet, it will work if the applicant inform the council regarding this loss in writing.  

There is spelling mistake in name in my Degree certificate. What to do.

Registration Certificate is issued in the name as it appears in the degree/diploma certificate issued by Board/University. Hence apply only after correction from respective Board/University.

What is the period of Renewal

Every year.

What is the time span for getting Registration

You can get the Registration Certificate in the same day of application, if all the relevant documents are properly submitted to council office. The details of documents that are necessary may be found in the council website of from the office of the council.

What is the time span for getting Good Standing/Others Certificate

Within 7 days.

What is the time span for getting Re-Registration Certificate (by Transfer from Other States)

Maximum two days after receiving No-Objection Certificate from the concerned State Pharmacy Council.

Can I get Good Standing Certificate/Verification certificate by hand.

No. The Certificate will be sent directly to the country by TSPC.

If prospectus of other country demand, can I get the certified copy of my Pharmacist Registration Certificate.

What is Refresher Course?

Refresher Course is a program to update the professionals on the latest developments in the field of Pharmacy. It is a Continuing Education Programme (CEP) and facilitates the Pharmacist to provide health care in a better way.

Who can do refresher course?

Pharmacist registered with Tripura State Pharmacy Council and having valid registration certificate are eligible for doing refresher course.

Is it compulsory to do refresher course?

Yes, it is mandatory for renewal of Registration.

How can I do refresher course?

Pharmacist may check for information and latest updates on refresher course, fees and other details on council website. Pharmacist may also contact Pharmacy Council for further details.

What is the syllabus for refresher course?

The refresher course offer wide range of subjects including accounting- inventory control for a pharmacy trade and pharma marketing professional to hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, Pharmacovigilance, adverse drug reaction, manufacture and quality control.

I have already completed refresher course but my certificate is pending. Can I apply for Renewal of certificate?

Please contact Pharmacy Council to know exact status of your certificate and eligibility for application of Renewal of Certificate.

Who is eligible for fresh registration?

Anyone who has completed diploma in pharmacy or bachelor in pharmacy from PCI approved Pharmacy college and above 18 years of age is eligible for application. For further details please visit council website or may contact Pharmacy Council during office hours.

Renewal of Registration

What is renewal of registration?

Renewal refers to pharmacist whose certificate is valid and has to apply for increasing validity. For example, if certificate is valid upto 31st December 2019, you can renew it upto 31 March 2020. After which you will have to apply for Re-Entry.

My registration expires on 31st December. So when to renew it?

You have to renew it by 31 March of next year. You can not renew it earlier to 31 December and not later than 31 March.

Is refresher course compulsory?

Yes, it is mandatory for pharmacist to complete ‘Refresher Course’ before application for Renewal.
